Job Summary
Sushi Mura Richmond is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated full-time and part-time Servers to join our dynamic team. As a server, you will be the face of our restaurant, providing exceptional guest services, ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are met, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a vibrant food industry environment, delivering memorable dining experiences through excellent hospitality and service skills.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Ensure all food handling and sanitation protocols are followed in compliance with food safety standards
- Assist in setting up tables, cleaning work areas, and maintaining restaurant cleanliness
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Manage guest inquiries professionally, providing excellent guest services and resolving issues promptly
- Maintain good time management to ensure efficient service during busy hours
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Ability to handle food safely and maintain sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations
- Basic math skills for cashiering and transaction accuracy
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during shifts
- Experience in food preparation, serving, or hospitality is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends as needed
