ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN
Muzychka & Company is a full-service professional accounting firm serving Central Alberta with a client base of owner managed small business enterprises in the agricultural, oil and gas services and other industries.
We are seeking a professional accounting technician with public practice experience. Preference will be given to a candidate with a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or formal accounting education.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of working papers, financial statements and tax returns in accordance with firm standards (Compilations, Reviews, T2)
- Preparation of T1 personal tax returns, GST Returns, T4 and T5 returns.
- Bookkeeping and Payroll. Experience with AgriStability, AgriInvest and other agriculture based tax programs would be an asset.
- Working both independently and in a team environment to assist individuals, corporations, and not-for-profit organizations with a wide range of tax, accounting/bookkeeping and compliance services.
- Build effective working relationships with clients and co-workers.
- Software competency in the following: Caseware, Profile, Quickbooks, Sage 50 and Microsoft Office. Experience with Doc.It file management system would also be an asset.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
The position is permanent, full time with a requirement for a physical presence (with flexibility) in our Olds or Sundre office.
