Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead Sales Associate / Store Supervisor to oversee daily store operations, lead sales initiatives, and manage a team of retail associates. This role requires strong leadership, excellent customer service skills, and a comprehensive understanding of retail management. The ideal candidate will possess supervisory experience, and demonstrate proficiency in sales management, merchandising, and administrative functions. As a key leader in our store, you will ensure a positive shopping experience for customers while driving sales performance and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve store sales goals through effective coaching and training
- Manage daily store operations including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and inventory control
- Oversee merchandising, pricing strategies, and product placement to maximize sales potential
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained
- Recruit, interview, and onboard new team members; assist with staff scheduling and payroll processing
- Supervise cashiering activities utilizing POS systems; ensure accurate transaction processing
- Develop marketing strategies to promote store products and special events
- Monitor store budget adherence and assist with purchasing decisions to optimize inventory levels
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and support staff development initiatives
- Maintain organized records of sales data, bookkeeping, and administrative documentation
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and store procedures
Requirements
- Proven retail management experience with strong leadership skills in supervising teams
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual abilities are highly preferred for effective customer engagement
- Proficiency in POS systems, merchandising techniques, pricing strategies, and cash handling procedures
- Experience in recruiting, training & development, budgeting, and payroll management
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
- Demonstrated ability in sales management, marketing initiatives, and store operations oversight
- Exceptional customer service skills with a professional phone etiquette approach
- Ability to work effectively under pressure with excellent time management skills
- Administrative experience including bookkeeping and record keeping is preferred
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive team environment
Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
