Senior HSE Field Coordinator
Job Summary: We are hiring for our client in the Construction industry! The Senior HSE Field Coordinator supports and strengthens health, safety, and environmental performance across multiple construction projects. This role serves as a key link between field operations and HSE leadership, providing guidance, mentoring team members, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
The position leads site-level safety initiatives, supports incident investigations, and drives proactive safety programs to promote a strong safety culture across all projects.
Job Location: Woodstock, ON
Job Type: Full-time, permanent.
Compensation Structure: $65,000-$85,000 per annum (depending on experience) + benefits + RRSP match + mileage reimbursement + more!
Responsibilities:
- Support implementation of company-wide HSE programs across multiple job sites
- Ensure compliance with OHSA, ISO 14001, COR, and other safety/environmental standards
- Lead site inspections, audits, and track corrective actions to completion
- Oversee subcontractor safety compliance, providing guidance and enforcement
- Investigate incidents and near misses, performing root cause analysis and corrective planning
- Prepare and present HSE reports; analyze trends to identify risks and prevention strategies
- Mentor HSE Coordinators and deliver training, ensuring certifications and records are up to date
- Promote a safety-first culture and support emergency preparedness and continuous improvement
Skills/Qualifications:
· 5–7 years of progressive HSE experience in the construction industry, with strong field exposure
· Diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
· CRSP, CSP, or NCSO designation considered an asset
· Solid knowledge of OHSA, COR, ISO 14001, and related regulations and standards
· Familiarity with COR and ISO audit processes; audit accreditation or eligibility is an asset
· Proven ability to manage multiple projects and work with diverse site teams
· Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
· Proficiency in HSE systems and Microsoft Office; experience with SALUS is an asset
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, especially in incident investigations
