Position: Part-Time Tour Guide Driver
Job Description:
RTB Tours and Shuttles is now hiring part-time drivers with experience in the Rocky Mountain and Calgary city tours who can provide commentary while driving. We offer flexible schedules and seek candidates with a strong focus on safety, excellent customer service, and local expertise.
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1, 2, or 4 driver’s license
- Extensive experience providing commentary in the National Park, Rocky Mountains, and Calgary city areas
- Minimum of two years of commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record with no accidents or infractions
- Strong English communication skills
- Excellent customer service and social skills
- Mountain driving experience is a must
- Ability to work out of town for up to 7-10 days
- Experience with tour buses and guiding tours is a plus

We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient transport of passengers, including seniors and individuals with special needs. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to customer service, and the ability to educate passengers about safety protocols. Bilingual candidates who can communicate effectively in both English and Spanish are highly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a bus while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and mechanical soundness.
- Assist passengers in boarding and alighting from the bus, providing support as needed, especially for seniors or those with disabilities.
- Educate passengers on safety procedures, routes, and schedules.
- Providing commentary while driving as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized bus interior.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding any issues or delays.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing passenger inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Keep accurate records of passenger counts, routes taken, and any incidents that occur during transit.
Skills
- Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is a plus (bilingual/multilingual).
- Strong knowledge of landmarks in the National Park, Rocky Mountains, and Calgary city for providing informative commentary.
- Previous experience in commercial driving is preferred; valid commercial driver's license (CDL) required.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with diverse groups of people.
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks is advantageous.
- Ability to educate passengers on safety protocols and provide clear instructions during transit.
- Compassionate approach towards senior care, ensuring comfort and safety for all passengers.
