Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tables while maintaining a positive attitude. Prior experience in food service and hospitality is preferred but not required; training will be provided to ensure success in this role.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring guest satisfaction
- Handle cash or credit card transactions accurately through cashiering procedures
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, service stations, and dining areas in accordance with food safety standards
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen support as needed
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Address guest inquiries or concerns professionally and promptly to ensure excellent customer service
- Follow all food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and billing accurately
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in hospitality or guest services is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism
