Full-Time Assistant Manager
A brand-new ice cream shop is opening just steps from Kits Beach this August, and we're looking for an experienced Full-Time Assistant Manager to help bring it to life.
We're creating a fun, welcoming neighbourhood spot where locals, beachgoers, families, and visitors come together to enjoy great ice cream and soak up the summer atmosphere. This is a chance to help build a business from the ground up and become part of a community that people look forward to visiting.

About the Role
As the Assistant Manager, you'll work closely with ownership to help establish the culture, standards, and daily operation of the shop. You'll lead shifts, coach the team, and make sure every guest leaves with an outstanding experience.
This is a hands-on leadership role focused primarily on evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak summer periods when the shop is at its busiest. You'll be leading the team through high-volume service, keeping operations running smoothly, and making sure the energy stays positive even when there's a lineup out the door.
Whether you're scooping ice cream, building sundaes, helping guests, coaching staff, or jumping in wherever needed, you'll lead by example and help create the kind of neighbourhood shop people come back to all summer long.
Experience & Qualifications
We're looking for someone who has already worked in a busy ice cream shop and is ready to take on a leadership role.
Required:
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in an ice cream or gelato shop.
- Previous experience as a Supervisor, Keyholder, Assistant Manager, or similar leadership role.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- A passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Ability to stay calm, organized, and positive during busy periods.
- Flexible availability, with the ability to regularly work evenings, weekends, holidays, and throughout the summer season.
- FoodSafe Level 1 certification.
