Senior Speech-Language Pathologist
Kayla's Children Centre provides education, therapy, recreational and respite services for children with a wide variety of special needs within a Jewish cultural setting. We are looking for a passionate, creative Speech and Language Pathologist for our school and therapy clinic.
Successful candidates must have:
1. Current registration with CASLPO
2. 5 + years experience working with students with diverse abilities including ASD, ADHD, developmental disabilities and physical disabilities.
3. Ability to assess and treat speech and language disorders of children between 0 - 21.
4. Training/expertise in one or more of the following areas is an asset:
AAC, high and low tech
Familiarity with gestalt language processing the Natural Language Acquisition framework.
Assessment and intervention approaches for speech sound disorders, eg. PROMPT, DTTC, cycles approach, etc.
Early Start Denver Model (ESDM)
Experience with structured literacy intervention eg. UFLI
5. Good collaboration skills/communication skills to work on an interdisciplinary team with education and therapy team.
Full-time
Renumeration: $80 – $100 per hour
