We're in need of an experienced Dz driver to handle tire pickups and return them to the plant efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Collect tires from designated locations and transport them back to the plant safely.
- Ensure the secure loading and unloading of tires onto the vehicle.
- Follow designated routes and schedules for pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle and equipment.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations during transportation.
- Communicate effectively with the dispatch team regarding any delays or issues.
- Perform basic maintenance checks on the vehicle and report any mechanical problems.
- Provide excellent customer service during pickups and deliveries.
Requirements:
- Valid Ontario Dz driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably in tire transportation.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to driving and handling cargo.
- Ability to lift heavy tires and perform physical tasks associated with the job.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Flexibility to work varied hours and overtime as needed.
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
