Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Truck Driver/Shop Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to and from our job sites and to shop, while adhering to all safety regulations as per OHSA. This position is primarily shop work and upkeep, as in the times when you are not driving, you are mostly organizing and maintaining our shop. Must be able to lift 50lbs+, as most material being transported must be loaded and offloaded.
Duties
- Clean, maintain, organize materials, equipment and tools in our shop
- Transport materials between job sites, our shop location, and waste to disposal sites, over various distances
- Loading and off-loading heavy material from the truck
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues
- Document and log work/rest periods (submittal of timecard weekly)
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
- Collect and verify delivery instructions
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (AZ License required)
- Proven work experience as an AZ driver, minimum 5 years
- Must be able to provide 3 years’ worth of letters of experience from past auto insurance companies
- Must have experience driving a roll-off truck
- Must have experience driving 18-speed manual transmission
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
- Must have a clean driving record with no driving violations
- Must be able to lift 50lbs+ as part of regular duties
- Ability to operate heavy equipment is a plus
- Experience with automotive repair, forklift operation, or freight handling is advantageous
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 44 per week
