Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks over long-distance routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding schedules, delays, or issues during transit
- Assist with freight handling, including securing loads and verifying shipment accuracy
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to ensure vehicle readiness
- Follow company policies for safety protocols and environmental regulations during all operations
Skills
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience with freight hauling over long distances
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and freight handling
- Ability to manage time efficiently and adapt to changing schedules
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and dispatchers
- Physical ability to load/unload freight, operate heavy machinery, and perform inspections as required

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Class 1 Owner Operator to join our team for routes from BC to Alberta. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, experience with heavy equipment, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. This position is perfect for experienced drivers looking for autonomy and consistent work in a professional environment.
Pay structure: $1.10 per mile (All expenses covered including fuel/insurance/ELD...plus more)
Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
