Sanitary Welder

About the Role
Skotidakis is looking for a skilled Sanitary Welder to join our Maintenance team. In this role, you will perform high-quality TIG welding, fabrication, installation, and repair of stainless-steel equipment and piping used in our food processing facility. The ideal candidate has experience with sanitary welding standards and is committed to producing quality work while maintaining food safety and equipment reliability.
Responsibilities
- Perform sanitary TIG welding on stainless steel piping, tanks, conveyors, and food processing equipment.
- Fabricate, modify, and repair stainless steel components according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Install and maintain food-grade piping systems, valves, pumps, and related equipment.
- Inspect, polish, and finish welds to meet sanitary and quality standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Troubleshoot and repair damaged or worn equipment components.
- Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to minimize equipment downtime.
- Follow all food safety, GMP, HACCP, health and safety, and company policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Complete maintenance records and required documentation.
- Participate in preventative maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Certified Welder (preferred).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Welding certification is considered an asset.
- Minimum 2–3 years of TIG welding experience, preferably in a food, dairy, beverage, pharmaceutical, or sanitary processing environment.
- Experience welding stainless steel (304 and 316 grades).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of sanitary welding standards and food safety requirements.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing and food-processing environment.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces when required.
- Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Schedule:
- Full-time (weekdays and weekends required)
- Overtime as required

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
