Junior Software Developer role is passionate about learning, developing, and maintaining our systems. You will actively contribute to the Technology team by participating in code reviews, testing, debugging and documentation. You possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills. You are a creative, self-starter with a passion for continuous learning and great attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Write, modify, integrate and test software code for e-commerce and other Internet applications
- Planning, deploying and configuring Laravel based applications
- Assist in the collection and documentation of user requirements
- Assist in the development of logical and physical specifications
- Prepare reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software
- Work within an Agile environment
Job Requirements
- Post-secondary degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
- 1-4 years of work experience as a Software Developer.
- Experience in modern front end web applications frameworks is a preferred (Vue, React or similar).
- Experience in modern back end web development (Laravel, php)
- Experience with or strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
- Dedicated team-player
- Excellent oral, written communication and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented, curious, and asks a lot of questions
- Self-motivated with the ability to learn new programming languages quickly
- Testing and debugging experience is considered an asset.
- Strong familiarity with PHP/MYSQL development for the web

Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Kingston, ON
