Job Overview:
Westshore Marine, a leading powersport dealership, is seeking a skilled and motivated Service Manager to oversee and enhance the efficiency of our service department. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of powersport products, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering excellent customer experiences. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth integration of service operations, driving team performance, and maintaining customer satisfaction and managing technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage the service teams, including technicians, advisors, and support staff.
- Foster a collaborative and professional work environment, promoting accountability and teamwork.
- Recruit, train, and develop staff to meet departmental goals and dealership standards.
Service Department Oversight:
- Manage service appointments, ensuring timely and high-quality repairs and maintenance.
- Monitor key service metrics such as turnaround time, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations, manufacturer guidelines, and industry best practices.
Customer Service:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by addressing their needs professionally and efficiently.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and concerns, ensuring a positive resolution and experience.
- Drive service department through proactive customer engagement and promotions.
Operational Efficiency:
- Develop and implement processes to improve efficiency and profitability service operations and maintaining shop efficiancy at high level.
- Monitor and analyze departmental performance, preparing regular reports for senior management.
- Collaborate with other departments to align operations with dealership goals and enhance overall performance.
Industry Expertise:
- Stay updated on powersport trends, new technologies, and manufacturer updates.
- Ensure the team is trained and informed about new products and service techniques.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a managerial role within a powersport, automotive, or related dealership.
- Strong knowledge of powersport products, including snowmobiles, ATVs, and boats.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer-centric mindset with exceptional problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and dealership software is an asset.
