Overview
We are seeking a Medical Radiation Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate is motivated, friendly, understanding, and thrives in a small team environment. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to operate advanced imaging equipment in a clinical setting. Specific experience working in an interventional pain medicine clinic is not required as the skills can be learned on the job.
We are currently seeking MRTs who can work casually but would eventually like to hire into a fixed part-time or full-time position.
Duties
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Accurately position patients to obtain optimal images for diagnosis.
- Operating the C-arm during fluoroscopic guided procedures.
- Maintain detailed records of procedures performed and patient information in accordance with safety and privacy regulations.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and calibrated regularly.
- Adhere to safety standards and radiation protection guidelines to minimize exposure risks for patients and staff.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
- Certification or licensure as a Medical Radiation Technologist from an accredited program (CAMRT).
- Experience operating a C-arm.
- Ability to assist during interventional procedures maintaining sterile technique.
- Excellent communication skills to work seamlessly with physicians and explain instructions clearly to patients and the care team.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of patient safety and image quality.
- Prior experience in a clinical setting is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided as needed.
