Penfor Construction offers “turn-key” General Contracting for the construction of agricultural, multi-family and commercial facilities. Our team will design, estimate and oversee complete construction, ensuring that the project is completed on time and on budget.
With our continued success and growth, we are currently looking for a full-time, year-round Assistant Site Supervisor to oversee our current and up-coming projects. This position will be primarily based out of Winnipeg with the occasional need to travel to our head office in Blumenort, MB.
Duties
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of power and heating systems and other equipment at sites
- Ensure safe working conditions on site; complete all safety and site documentation as required including filing accident reports and reporting on incidents
- Maintain the organization of the site ensuring supplies are placed where needed, garbage is removed, tripping hazards are removed, etc.
- Other duties as required
Skills
- 3-5 years’ experience in construction
- Ability to travel and work overtime
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
- Strong organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
- Computer proficient with experience in MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Strong safety-first attitude with knowledge of required safety protocols on a construction site
