Who You Are
You are reliable, detail-oriented, and take pride in keeping a clean, safe, and organized work environment. You understand that proper dishwashing and sanitation are essential to food safety, smooth kitchen operations, and overall product quality.
You are comfortable with hands-on cleaning work, following clear procedures, and using dishwashing equipment and cleaning chemicals responsibly. You take ownership of your tasks, work efficiently, and contribute positively to a fast-paced production team.
This role is ideal for someone looking for consistent hours, a structured routine, and an important behind-the-scenes role in food manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, utensils, trays, bins, and food-contact equipment.
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and correctly.
- Ensure all items are cleaned and sanitized according to food safety standards. Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations, sinks, racks, and surrounding work areas.
- Keep floors, drains, and waste areas clean and organized.
- Use cleaning chemicals safely while wearing required PPE.
- Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules and procedures.
- Complete basic cleaning and sanitation checklists accurately.
- Perform visual checks to ensure all items are clean and ready for use.
- Remove waste and recycling as needed.
- Report any damaged items, equipment issues, or supply shortages to the Supervisor.
- Support the production and operations team with dishwashing and sanitation tasks as required.
What You Bring
- Previous dishwashing, cleaning, or food production experience is an asset (training provided).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and food safety.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work efficiently.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and consistent work ethic.Ability to work independently while staying accountable to the team.
- Positive attitude and willingness to help with other back-of-house tasks when needed.
