Job Description
We are looking for a talented individual to join our team as a Contract Specialist.
In this role, you will own and enhance contract processes across programs, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution. This position partners closely with Legal, Finance, Business Development, and program delivery teams to coordinate contract activities, mitigate risk, and support business objectives.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing complex, cross-functional projects while serving as a trusted subject-matter expert on Statements of Work (SOWs), amendments, extensions, and related agreements.

Own and manage the full lifecycle of program contracts from award through execution, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Lead contract-related projects, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, timelines, and deliverables.

Draft, review, and manage complex contracts, SOWs, amendments, extensions, and related documents.

Partner with Legal to incorporate risk mitigation, communicate guidance, and secure final approvals.

Collaborate with Finance to ensure financial accuracy across contracts and Salesforce.

Provide oversight and quality review of contracts prepared by program and Business Development teams.

Manage contract approval workflows, including signature approval and out-of-contract processes.

Lead annual extension processes to ensure timely execution prior to program start dates.

Reconcile contract and revenue data across Salesforce and Legal systems in coordination with Finance and program teams.

Maintain and manage contract records, reporting, and documentation in Salesforce and SharePoint.

Develop and deliver contract process training and compliance support to internal stakeholders.

Serve as a subject-matter expert, providing guidance and support during contract negotiation and program implementation.

Lead contract handoff to program teams and provide ongoing support as needed.

Provide contract status updates to internal stakeholders and support Business Development and Sales Operations teams.

Post-secondary education

3+ years of experience in contract management, project management, or related roles.

Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with diverse stakeholders and shifting priorities.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and prioritize effectively.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.

Ability to remain professional and composed in high-pressure environments.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, including technical or contract writing experience.

Familiarity with energy efficiency programs.

Proficiency with Salesforce or other contract management systems (e.g., Icertis).

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, Adobe Acrobat Pro).
Canadian Commercial Driving Requirements
If applicable, meet all qualification, licensing, medical, and compliance requirements for commercial drivers under applicable provincial and territorial laws, the Canadian National Safety Code (NSC), and any federal regulations for extra‑provincial operations, including hours‑of‑service and safety fitness requirements.
