The Centre for Autism Services Alberta (CFASA) is looking for an Employment Coach who is committed to empowering Autistic adults and individuals with developmental disabilities to achieve meaningful employment while helping employers create more inclusive and accessible workplaces.
We are currently hiring for both full-time (35 hours/week) and part-time (21–35 hours/week) Employment Coach positions.

About the Role
As an Employment Coach, you'll work one-on-one with adults with developmental disabilities to help them build the skills, confidence, and experience needed to achieve meaningful employment.
You'll guide participants through career exploration, employment readiness, job search, workplace skill development, and ongoing job coaching while partnering with employers to create inclusive, accessible workplaces where employees can thrive.
Working closely with the Employment Coordinator, you'll collaborate with participants, employers, families, and community partners to create individualized pathways toward sustainable employment.
What You'll Be Doing
Support Individuals to Achieve Employment
- Build employment readiness skills through individualized coaching.
- Assist with career exploration and identifying meaningful employment goals.
- Support participants with resume development, interview preparation, and job search strategies.
- Assess each individual's strengths, interests, and abilities to support successful employment outcomes.
- Provide ongoing job coaching and workplace supports to promote long-term success.
Build Inclusive Workplaces
- Develop relationships with employers and community partners.
- Educate employers on inclusive hiring practices and effective workplace supports.
- Help employers build accessible and supportive work environments.
- Balance the needs of both employers and employees to create successful employment experiences.
Collaborate & Deliver Quality Services
- Work closely with the Employment Coordinator to develop individualized employment plans.
- Collect program data to support evaluation and continuous improvement.
- Connect participants with community supports and services as needed.
- Maintain professional documentation and confidentiality.
- Deliver services using neurodiversity-affirming and person-centred practices.
What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone who is passionate about helping others succeed and enjoys building relationships within the community.
You will have:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum one year of experience supporting individuals with disabilities.
- Knowledge of employment supports and job coaching.
- Understanding of adult learning principles.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- A reliable vehicle for community-based work.
- A valid Police Information Check, Child Intervention Record Check, and First Aid with CPR certification (or the ability to obtain them).
