Job Overview:
We are looking for dependable, hard-working individuals to join our team as General Labourers in a precast concrete manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role in a fast-paced plant setting where safety, quality, teamwork, and reliability are important. We are a growing company with a small-company atmosphere and opportunities to learn and grow within the business.
Responsibilities:
· Assemble, prepare, and dismantle concrete forms
· Mix, pour, spread, finish, and scrape concrete products
· Place and tie reinforced steel
· Move materials throughout the plant using forklifts, overhead cranes, and other equipment, as trained
· Use hand tools and equipment such as scrapers and grinders
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
· Follow all company health and safety procedures, including proper use of PPE
· Participate in daily production meetings and support general plant operations as needed
Qualifications
· Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent is required
· Previous labour, construction, concrete, or manufacturing experience is considered an asset
· Experience with forklifts, cranes, rebar, concrete finishing, or carpentry is considered an asset
· Ability to use hand tools and follow instructions safely and accurately
· Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn
· Able to work independently and as part of a team
· Must have reliable transportation due to the rural location
Working Conditions
· Full-time hours with overtime based on workload and production schedules
· Physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, standing, and working for extended periods
· Plant environment with exposure to noise, dust, weather conditions, heavy equipment, suspended loads, and time-sensitive production requirements
· Required to follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE
