Afonso Group Limited is a Canadian company established more than 50 years. Afonso Group's Pipe Line Division primarily works for contractors, engineering consultants, municipalities, residential owners, transportation, industrial and commercial construction industries.
Our primary area of work is in the St. John's and surrounding areas but often requires us to travel throughout the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Our work at a minimum requires the flushing and vacuuming of sewers, catch basins, private sewer lines, septic fields, pipeline rehabilitation, sewage lift stations and Hydro Excavation.
Job requirements
- Class 3 License
- Clean Drivers Abstract
- Previous experience in the operation of Hydro Vacuum Trucks
- Hear and distinguish emergency signals and instructions
- Must be in good physical condition for operating the unit.
- Capable of lifting 50lbs repeatedly as required
- Able to work at height and in confined spaces
- Able to work with sewers and wear all appropriate PPE as required
- Able to work extended hours, on call and variable shifts
- Able to work in all outdoor elements as required
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Valid certificates in First Aid, Fall Protection, Confine Space, WHMIS will be considered an asset
- Mechanical Inclination an asset
- Experience in CCTV inspections of sewers would be considered an asset
- Experience with sewer pipe rehabilitation would be considered an asset
