In-House Full-Cycle Bookkeeper (Part-Time)
Location: Don Mills & Lawrence, Toronto (In-Person Only)
We are a well-established importer of premium wines and spirits looking for an experienced Full-Cycle Bookkeeper to join our collaborative team. This is an in-office position located at Don Mills and Lawrence.
We're looking for someone who enjoys working with numbers, thrives in a small business environment, and appreciates being part of a close-knit team. For the right candidate, there is an opportunity for this role to grow into a full-time position, particularly for someone with social media and marketing experience.
Schedule
- Part-time: 20–30 hours per week
- Preferred workdays: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
- Flexible schedule available for the right candidate
Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping using QuickBooks Pro
- Accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Cost recoveries and foreign currency transactions
- Budget management, forecasting and promotional expense tracking
- Bank and account reconciliations
- Prepare financial reports and assist with month-end processes
- Work closely with management to meet reporting deadlines
- Payroll is outsourced (Ceridian); no payroll processing required
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of full-cycle bookkeeping/accounting experience
- Minimum 2 years' experience using QuickBooks Pro (required)
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience managing accounts receivable, accounts payable and foreign currency transactions
- Strong analytical, organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing to the team
- Experience in the LCBO, wine, spirits or beverage alcohol industry is considered a strong asset
- Additional languages such as French, Italian or Spanish are an asset
