Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Security Guard/Crowd Controller to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. This role involves monitoring activities, managing crowd behavior, and preventing loss or damage through proactive surveillance and enforcement of security protocols. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observation skills, and the ability to respond effectively in various situations.
Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards
- Manage crowd control during events or peak times to ensure orderly conduct
- Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV to observe activity and identify potential security issues
- Enforce rules and policies to prevent theft, vandalism, or other misconduct
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies with appropriate action
- Maintain detailed incident reports and communicate effectively with management and law enforcement when necessary
- Assist visitors and staff by providing directions or assistance as needed
- Collaborate with security team members to develop and implement security procedures
Qualifications
- Prior experience in law enforcement, security, surveillance, or loss prevention is preferred
- Knowledge of CCTV operation and monitoring techniques
- Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with the public and team members
- Ability to handle challenging situations with tact and discretion
- Physical fitness to perform patrol duties and respond quickly when required
- Valid security license or certification is a plus but not mandatory
