Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Renovation Helper to assist with a variety of construction and renovation projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry while supporting skilled tradespeople in completing high-quality projects. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, detail-oriented, and capable of working in dynamic environments.
Responsibilities
- Assist with demolition, preparation, and cleanup of renovation sites
- Support carpenters, masons, electricians, and other tradespeople in their tasks
- Handle hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to assist with project execution
- Perform tasks related to concrete forming, finishing, and restoration work
- Aid in cabinet installation, flooring installation, tile laying, and drywall work
- Support plumbing, electrical, masonry, welding, and painting activities as needed
- Assist with caulking, masonry work, concrete finishing, and other specialized tasks
- Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment
Qualifications
- Prior experience or familiarity with blueprint reading and schematics is a plus
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic construction equipment
- Knowledge of construction methods including carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, and flooring installation is desirable
- Ability to operate heavy equipment is advantageous but not required
- Strong work ethic with the ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various construction tasks
- Prior experience in restoration or concrete finishing is beneficial but not mandatory
