Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator or Experienced Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team in our 3-5 daycare program. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging environment for young children, supporting their developmental milestones, and fostering a love for learning. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, classroom experience, and a passion for early childhood education. Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Provide attentive supervision and care for children ages 2 1/2 to 5 years, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Collaborate, develop and execute age appropriate programming with the team to foster children’s cognitive, physical, emotional and social development
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive environment.
- Ability to use age appropriate techniques and strategies while guiding behaviour
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with community services
- Ability to work in a team environment with a collaborative approach but also the ability to work independently
- Utilize organizational skills to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming classroom environment.
Requirements
- Valid Early Childhood Educator license to practice or ECEA is required(fully licensed ECE is preferred).
- 1-3 years of proven experience working with children 2 1/2 to 5 years in a childcare setting.
- Knowledge and firm understanding of early childhood education principles, child development, and classroom management techniques.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, community supports and team members.
- Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Demonstrated time management skills to ensure timely completion of duties throughout the day.
- Flexibility to adapt to any situation and think on your feet for solutions.
- Valid First Aid Certification

Pay: $19.50-$21.00 per hour
