Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting on behalf of one of our valued clients for an experienced Commercial Millwork Installer. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and enjoys working on commercial construction projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for installing custom commercial millwork, including cabinetry, countertops, wall panels, reception desks, vanities, shelving, trim, and other architectural woodwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Install commercial millwork, cabinetry, countertops, wall panels, trim, and other architectural woodwork.
- Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and construction plans.
- Complete layouts, field measurements, scribing, cutting, fitting, and on-site adjustments.
- Ensure all installations are level, plumb, secure, and completed to a high standard.
- Work closely with site supervisors, project managers, and other trades.
- Identify installation issues and communicate them promptly.
- Complete touch-ups, adjustments, and deficiency work as required.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and installation equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all workplace safety policies and site-specific safety requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of commercial millwork installation experience.
- Red Seal Millworker Certification is considered an asset.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and construction plans.
- Strong knowledge of cabinet installation, countertop installation, scribing, leveling, fastening, and finishing techniques.
- Comfortable working on active commercial construction sites.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Job Details
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Pay: $26.00–$32.00 per hour, based on experience
