Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Metal Roofer to join our team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal roofing techniques, with the ability to work safely at heights and handle heavy materials. Prior handyman experience and blueprint reading skills are a plus. Duties
- Install new metal roofing systems using various hand tools and construction materials
- Repair or replace damaged or worn roofing components
- Measure and cut roofing materials accurately according to project specifications
- Use caulking to seal joints and prevent leaks effectively
- Perform heavy lifting of shingles, tiles, and other roofing materials safely
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure proper installation procedures
- Assist with general carpentry tasks related to roofing projects
- Maintain a clean and safe work site by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and measuring devices
- Strong knowledge of construction principles and roofing techniques
- Carpentry skills for framing, cutting, and fitting materials
- Experience with caulking for sealing joints and seams
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds or more)
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Handyman experience is highly desirable for versatile project support
- Valid drivers license
- Good physical stamina, balance, and comfort working at heights in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to safety protocols and detail-oriented workmanship
Pay: $20.87-$35.00 per hour
