Compensation: STARTING AT $22.00 per hour (based on experience)

SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Yard Associate is critical to the successful operation of a Windsor Plywood Store. They are responsible for products & materials entering, storing & leaving the Yard and the Store. This includes responsibility for sorting, picking, replenishment, yard cleaning, transfers, and inventory control. The Yard Associate is driven to produce high-paced quality results that create positive first impressions for customers upon entering the yard. In addition, this role requires operating a forklift- experience is required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure every customer experience exceeds the customer’s expectations – go the extra-mile”
- Shipping & Receiving | Ensuring all inventory leaving/entering Yard has appropriate paperwork
- Maintain a clean, organized & safe work-environment. Duties include sweeping & vacuuming the warehouse and the door/saw shop daily
- Order picking, pulling, palletizing, and staging
- Loading & unloading of Transport Trucks & Customer vehicles both on and off site.
- Assisting Contractors and other customers with locating products in the Store
- Operate Forklift in a diligent, professional & safe manner
- Assist with maintenance of equipment, buildings and landscaping onsite
- Actively monitor material organization, stocking levels, & accuracy in Yard
- Diligently follow Checklists, policies, processes & procedures
- Accompanies and assists delivery drivers with the delivery of customer orders
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Prior Forklift Operator experience (minimum 1 year)
- Prior Building-Yard experience is an asset
- Strong work ethic and self-motivated/self-directed, with an ability to work independently using sound judgment, logical reasoning skills, and intuition
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively, always mindful of the customer
- Flexible, honest, acting in all situations with professionalism and integrity
- Able to deal with changes, delays, or unexpected events in a professional & timely manner
- Minimum Grade 12 Education
- Permanent resident of Canada with an active BC Class 5 Drivers License
