YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME
Reporting to VP Enterprise Procurement, you will be empowered to:
Category & Specification Strategy
Direct & consult the development of complex procurement sourcing strategies for gaming and lottery divisions which guide the divisions to make more informed operating decisions.
Establishes & aligns with divisional & procurement leadership objectives to ensure strategies remain relevant to industry trends & balanced with division driven initiatives.
Establishes priorities, process and timelines associated with all procurement activities, in alignment with procurement processes and maintain consistency across the team.
Direct & consult on the development of associated insights, supplier relationships and performance that informs business decision making.
Engage with procurement leadership on the development, implementation & usage of reports and insights in order to identify savings opportunities
Acts as the first line of support from procurement to divisional end users for the gaming and lottery divisions to provide consistent, knowledgeable advisor services.
Ensures compliant usage & leverages use of tools and techniques to profile; benchmark; research and assess the market; risks; competition; trends and new opportunities.
Supplier Selection
Direct & consult on the overall team execution of sourcing events through transparent procurement processes (RFx) to select vendor(s) for contract negotiation.
Direct & consult on favorable sourcing & tender approaches, taking into consideration feedback from the divisional end users, to drive optimal third-party vendor relationships based on requirements.
Supplier & Contracts Management
Direct & consult on the development and oversee the negotiation & supporting finalization of commercial agreements with suppliers though end to end Source to Contract.
Direct & oversee management existing contracts to ensure supplier performance, contract compliance, and optimization of contract terms.
Support development process, in concert with divisional end users, a vendor scorecard or alternative vendor performance approach, where relevant, and participates in joint periodic review with the supplier and the divisional representatives.
Pro-actively identifies an exit or transition strategy and socializes it with the divisional end users as individual contracts conclude.
Throughout the execution of contracts, ensures that the necessary evidences of changes, amendments or any significant events or shortcomings (on the front of performance of contractual obligations) are addressed, retained for records and are resolved in accordance with the policies in place in the organization.
Relationship Management
Participates in relevant divisional business planning and review sessions to stay aligned with their priorities, current state of affairs and upcoming changes.
Maintain collaborative and open working relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors and cross functional teams.
Provide consultative guidance, insight and expertise to cross functional teams.
Supports operations improvement projects, including cost reduction, optimization, cost/benefit analyses.
Stays up to date with market trends to ensure the business is being supported in the right way, by the right vendors.

Lead team of direct report(s) and support ongoing development, mentorship and growth.
Foster an environment that encourages employee engagement and motivates team members to perform at their very best.
Manage, provide leadership and monitor on going performance of direct reports against commitments ensuring workload is effectively allocated.
Conduct periodic and annual performance reviews as outlined by Human Resources.
Identify individual development needs and provide coaching, support and direction in terms of on-the-job learning and formal training to create development plans that address gaps.
Develop team and lead by example through own personal development and maintaining a positive work environment.
Foster a coaching and mentoring culture within your department, ensuring yourself and people leaders in your department are willing and available to support their staff.
Support OLG talent management succession planning strategy, by making sure capable people are identified and have action plans in place that align to individual and organizational needs.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE GAME
Work Experience: 10+ years Sourcing experience. 5+ years Procurement Management Experience. Experience with spend analytics and identifying savings opportunities. Knowledge of Procurement Law and Ontario public sector procurement practices are an asset. Experience in reviewing competitive documents against vendor proposals is an asset. Sound knowledge of all OLG Operations in relation to Procurement and contractual requirements and/or government procurement would be an asset.
Education: University Degree (Supply Chain or Business preferred). NISCL/SCMA Certification an asset. Knowledge of the source to contract process. In depth knowledge of sourcing within applicable category.
Critical Skills: Skilled in market research to identify trends and opportunities. Skilled in contract negotiations and editing. Excellent stakeholder management skills to lead cross functional teams. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Results oriented individual with superior customer service skills and proven ability to work in a team environment.
Strong Analytics skills: including using Excel to analyze procurement spend
