Responsibilities
Assist journeyman carpenters with a variety of construction tasks, including measuring, cutting, and assembling materials using hand tools and power tools.
Learn to read blueprints and schematics to accurately interpret project plans and specifications.
Maintain a clean and organized shop / worksite by properly storing tools and disposing of debris according to safety protocols.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or coursework in carpentry or construction is a plus.
Basic familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
Strong interest in learning carpentry skills and understanding construction processes.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments.
Excellent attention to detail when reading blueprints, schematics, or technical drawings.
Willingness to follow safety guidelines rigorously and work as part of a team.
Prior experience in construction or woodworking is advantageous but not required; training will be provided.
