The hotel maintenance technician is responsible for maintaining the hotels facilities and equipment to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for guest and staff. This includes performing routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical and plumbing system and responding promptly to maintenance requests.
Key responsibilities:
1. Routine Maintenance:
- Perform daily inspection of hotel facilitates, including guest rooms, public areas and back of the house areas.
- Conduct routine maintenance task such as changing of light bulbs, replacing air filters and checking HVAC system
- Maintain the pool and ensure that water quality and safety standards are met
2. Preventive Maintenance
- Implement and follow a preventive maintenance schedule to reduce equipment downtime and extend the life of hotel assets
- Inspect and maintain all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system
- Perform maintenance on laundry, kitchen and room equipment
3. Repair work
- Diagnose and repair issues with HVAC system, electrical systems, plumbing and pother hotel equipment.
- Perform carpentry , painting, and drywall repairs as needed
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or maintenance task
4. Guest Service:
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guest and staff
- Ensure that all repairs are completed quickly and efficiently with minimal disruptions to the guests
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor when interaction with guests

- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirement
- Conduct regular safety inspections and maintain safety equipment
- Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal regulations
Inventory and supplies
- Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and tools
- Order supplies as needed
