Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Server/ Bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and providing exceptional customer service. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, serving beverages, and ensuring that all guests have an enjoyable experience. You will play a key role in maintaining the bar's cleanliness and adhering to food safety standards.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons and responding to their needs promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food items when applicable.
- Assist in training new staff members on bartending techniques and customer service practices.
- Greet and serve guests in a friendly and efficient manner
- Take accurate food and drink orders
- Make and serve coffee, cocktails, and other beverages
- Handle payments and operate the POS system
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area and bar
- Restock supplies and assist with opening duties
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and team members
- Provide an excellent guest experience from start to finish
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a friendly atmosphere for guests.
- Knowledge of food safety practices relevant to the food industry.
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently.
- Proficient in bartending techniques, including drink preparation and presentation.
- Familiarity with basic math for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Experience in cashiering within a restaurant or bar setting is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
