Ready to lead a great crew? Timberscapes is looking for an experienced Lead Climbing Arborist / Crew Lead to join our team.
If you're an experienced climber who enjoys technical removals, takes pride in running an organized and efficient job site, and wants to work with a crew that pulls their weight, we'd like to hear from you.
Timberscapes is looking for a Lead Climbing Arborist / Crew Lead to lead by example and help build a crew that's known for quality work, professionalism, and safety. You're confident with complex removals and advanced rigging, make sound decisions under pressure, and know how to keep a crew productive, efficient, and working safely.
This is an opportunity for someone who takes pride in their craft, enjoys mentoring others, and wants to be part of a team that values doing the job right every time.
What the role looks like
You’ll be leading and executing tree removals and pruning work, keeping jobs moving safely and efficiently, and making smart calls both in the tree and on the ground.
You’ll be expected to:
- Lead technical removals and pruning operations
- Run the job site and keep the crew organized, safe, and productive
- Make confident decisions in the tree and on the ground
- Communicate clearly with the crew and maintain a high standard of work
- Work with quality equipment, including our spider lift and grapple saw crane support on larger removals
- Complete required paperwork like tailboards, circle checks, and start/finish forms
- Safely drive company trucks and trailers between sites and make sure gear is transported and set up properly
What we’re looking for
We’re not looking for someone who’s still figuring out the basics. We want someone who already climbs at a high level and can lead by example.
You’ll probably be a good fit if you have:
- Strong climbing experience and confidence in complex removals
- Solid rigging knowledge and efficient work habits
- Crew leadership experience
- A safety-first mindset without dragging the pace down
- Pride in clean, professional work
- The ability to stay calm, think ahead, and get the job done right
OUR VALUES: We have 6 that build our foundation!
Safety: The work we do carries real risk, and it is our responsibility to think ahead, work with discipline, and protect ourselves, our teammates, our clients, and the public. No task is more important than making sure everyone goes home safe.
Quality: We take pride in doing the job right. Our work should reflect care, professionalism, and attention to detail from start to finish. When we leave a site, we should be able to look back at it with pride and know we gave our best.
Lean: We work smarter, not harder. That means staying organized, using our time well, planning ahead, and reducing wasted motion, effort, and confusion. Lean helps us do great work efficiently, without cutting corners on safety or quality.
Grit: This work is demanding, and grit is what carries us through. We show up ready to work, push through challenges, and keep moving when the job gets tough. Talent matters, but perseverance is what turns potential into results.
Learn: We are always growing. Every job, every challenge, and every mistake is a chance to improve our skills, knowledge, and judgment. The more we learn, the better we become as individuals, as a team, and as a company.
Community: We look out for each other and take care of the people around us. We build a team culture based on respect, accountability, and pride in how we represent Timberscapes. The way we work, speak, and carry ourselves leaves an impact, and that impact should make the whole team proud.
What We Do
At Timberscapes, we specialize in professional tree removal, pruning, planting, plant health care, and long-term tree preservation. We take pride in delivering high-quality work that prioritizes safety, efficiency, and exceptional customer service. Every job is completed to professional standards that our team is proud to stand behind.
