Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled AZ Flatbed Driver specializing in Heavy Equipment Hauling to join our team. This role involves transporting large, heavy machinery across various locations while ensuring safety and compliance with transportation regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and possess a strong commitment to safety and professionalism. Duties
- Safely operate flatbed trucks to transport heavy equipment and freight over short and long distances.
- Secure loads properly using straps, chains, and other securing devices to prevent movement during transit.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring all safety features are functional.
- Assist with loading and unloading heavy machinery, utilizing forklift or other equipment as needed.
- Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs on trucks and equipment, including automotive repair tasks when necessary.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transit.
Requirements
- Valid AZ Commercial Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in flatbed trucking, heavy equipment hauling, or related freight transportation roles.
- Familiarity with forklift operation, automotive repair skills, and heavy equipment handling is preferred.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently in various environments.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for commercial drivers.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for load securing and documentation.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a focus on safety protocols and timely deliveries.
- Physical capability to load/unload heavy equipment and perform necessary vehicle inspections.
