Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and learning.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized attention.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a cohesive educational experience.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and behavior.
- Utilize computer skills for documentation, lesson planning, and communication purposes.
- Manage classroom materials and resources efficiently to support daily activities.
- Lead classroom activities that foster leadership, cooperation, and creativity among children.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and licensing requirements.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices.
- Bilingual abilities (English and French) are highly desirable to support diverse student populations.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage children effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills and time management to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Proficiency in computer operation for documentation, lesson planning, and communication tools.
- Classroom experience demonstrating leadership qualities and the ability to manage a dynamic learning environment.
- Childcare or teaching certification/license as required by local regulations is preferred but not mandatory for internship positions.
