We Form Pay is a specialized MSB delivering secure, multi-currency financial solutions to clients worldwide. We are seeking an experienced Compliance Officer to join our organization as an independent contractor, with a commitment of up to 30 hours per month. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the company’s compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. Key responsibilities include monitoring compliance activities, conducting audits, and advising various departments to uphold ethical standards and mitigate risk. The Compliance Officer plays a critical role in protecting the company’s reputation and operational integrity by fostering a strong culture of compliance across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential areas of non-compliance within the organization.
- Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations, ensuring company policies are updated accordingly.
- Provide training and educational resources to employees regarding compliance standards and ethical practices.
- Investigate compliance violations or concerns, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
- Collaborate with legal teams, management, and external regulators to ensure ongoing adherence to applicable laws.
- Prepare detailed reports on compliance status, audit results, and risk assessments for senior management.
- Promote a culture of integrity and transparency throughout the organization.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Compliance Officer or in a similar regulatory.
- Strong understanding of industry-specific regulations and legal requirements relevant to the organization’s operations.
- Deep knowledge of FINTRAC regulations
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for conducting thorough audits and assessments.
- Effective communication skills for training staff and preparing comprehensive reports.
- Experience with multicurrency transactions and digital asset compliance is an asset
- Experience with risk management practices is preferred.
- Professional certification such as CAMS
Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 60 months
Pay: From $1,500.00 per month
Expected hours: 4.0 – 8.0 per week
