We’re on the lookout for someone who can reconcile our internal wallet balances against bank settlement reports several times a day, surfacing variances, and partnering with our product and engineering teams to keep both sides aligned. You'll work directly with the tech and finance team and have visibility into how a real-time payments business actually runs.
If you're detail-oriented, enjoy working with Excel, and like using functions such as XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP to analyze data, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. We're also looking for someone who is curious about leveraging AI tools to streamline reconciliation processes and improve efficiency.
While this role begins as a full time 3-month contract ( working 40 hours per week), we view it as an opportunity to identify someone who can grow with us. Candidates who demonstrate strong analytical skills, initiative, and a passion for process improvement may have the opportunity to join our team in a permanent capacity, helping drive operational improvements, automation, and scaling initiatives across the business.

What you'll do:
- Pull and review daily reports from internal systems and partner banks
- Compare wallet balances and transaction-level data across multiple payment methods
- Identify, categorize, and document discrepancies
- Track patterns over time and flag findings to product and engineering
- Maintain clean reconciliation logs and produce summary reports for the team
- Work closely with the tech team to help refine the reconciliation process as we scale volume
Who we're looking for:
- Currently enrolled in a university program (Finance, Accounting, Business, Math, Computer Science, Engineering, or related)
- Strong Excel skills — comfortable with VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, filters, conditional formatting, and writing formulas to cross-check large datasets
- Comfortable reading structured data in CSV and Excel reports and tying line items across multiple sources
- Sharp attention to detail — this role is about catching small things that others miss
- Self-starter who can follow a defined process, work independently, and ask good questions when numbers don't line up
- Reliable, organized, and able to commit to a consistent daily cadence
- Knowledge on how to use AI to speed up the reconciliation process
Nice to have, but not required:
- Exposure to fintech, payments, or banking
- Coursework or prior experience in reconciliation, bookkeeping, audit, or financial operations
The hourly wage for this role is $21.00/hour.
