Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Glass Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, replacing, and repairing automotive glass with precision and attention to detail. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive systems, excellent hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior dealership experience and mechanical knowledge are highly valued to ensure quality service and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Remove and replace damaged or broken automotive glass using specialized tools and techniques
- Measure and fit new glass accurately to ensure proper sealing and alignment
- Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment safely and effectively during installations
- Inspect vehicles for additional repairs or issues related to the glass or surrounding components
- Follow safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines throughout all procedures
- Maintain a clean work area and ensure all tools are properly stored after use
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding repair timelines and procedures
Experience
- Prior dealership or automotive repair shop experience preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle systems is highly desirable
- Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment required
- Background in automotive repair or as a mechanic is a plus
- Familiarity with automotive glass installation techniques is beneficial but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a busy environment
