Sterling Management Services Ltd. is growing, and we are searching for a full-time Property Administrator and Leasing Associate to the team. The Property Administrator and Leasing Associate is responsible for managing all aspects of the tenant experience, which includes showings, rentals, administration and tenant relations. The diverse set of responsibilities will require an applicant with strong communication, administrative and customer service skills.
Responsibilities of the Property Administrator and Leasing Associate include:
- Supporting the overall leasing and resident relations function including administration of all required paperwork
- Marketing and showing available suites to prospective residents and managing the presentation of application forms to Rentals and the Property Management department for approval
- Facilitating the signing of leases, schedules, assignments, addendum forms, tenancy agreements and all supporting documents, and ensuring their timely and accurate completion
- Maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of the properties including availability of suite types and layouts, common areas, amenities of the building(s) and the surrounding neighborhoods
- Scheduling appointments for property viewings
- Inspecting vacant suites daily to ensure they are in excellent condition for showings
- Communicating with applicants to ensure they are kept up-to-date with the status of their application
- Managing move-in and move-out condition inspections reporting
- Ensuring compliance with all legislation (i.e. BC Residential Tenancy Act, Labour Relations Act, Fire Code and Occupational Health and Safety Act)
- Undertaking building inspections, making recommendations for preventative maintenance, and notifying management concerning need for major repairs
- Attending to the collection and safe deposit of all rent monies and other receivables from residents
- Providing superior customer service, dealing effectively and fairly with resident requests and concerns in a timely fashion, and involving the Property Manager when necessary.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Experience in residential property management, real estate sales or marketing, hospitality, seniors housing, or other relevant industries an asset
- Computer proficiency, including MS Office, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat is required, and the desire and ability to learn new systems
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to listen to others, collaborate and resolve conflict
- Detail oriented with ability to work independently and prioritize workload
- Demonstrate a high level of integrity and professionalism
- Energetic, responsive team player with the ability to take initiative and work in a fast-paced environment
- Completion of a criminal record check satisfactory to the employer
- Possess a valid Canadian driver's license and a vehicle
- Ability to work flexible hours
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $38,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
