Our client in Mississauga is seeking an experienced Accountant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accurate account reconciliation, and supporting various accounting functions. Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software.
- Conduct account reconciliation to verify the accuracy of financial data across various ledgers and systems.
- Support budgeting activities by analyzing financial data and preparing reports for management review.
- Perform account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain organized documentation for all financial transactions in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and data integrity.
Requirements
- 2-3 years work experience as an Accountant
- Post-Secondary in Accounting
- Has or pursuing CPA
- Proven experience with accounting software.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, account reconciliation, payroll processing, and financial reporting.
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong mathematical skills coupled with analytical thinking for account analysis and budgeting tasks.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
