Overview
We are seeking a professional Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. This role is vital in providing exceptional customer service, managing vehicle repair orders, and ensuring a smooth communication flow between customers and our service technicians. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, excellent sales skills, and a dedication to customer satisfaction. Previous Canadian Tire or Dealership experience and mechanic knowledge are highly desirable for this position.
Duties
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, establishing a positive rapport.
- Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues.
- Explain repair and maintenance services clearly, ensuring customer understanding.
- Prepare detailed service estimates and recommend additional services through upselling when appropriate.
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of work.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain proper documentation of all sales and payments.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
- Maintain accurate records of service orders, customer interactions, and vehicle history.
- Assist in promoting other services, parts, and accessories to maximize sales opportunities.
Qualifications
- Prior Canadian Tire or Dealership experience is preferred but not required; strong customer service skills are essential.
- Mechanical knowledge or mechanic experience is highly advantageous for understanding vehicle repairs.
- Proven ability in sales, upselling, and cash handling to enhance revenue opportunities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to customers.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and record keeping.
- A professional appearance and attitude that reflects positively on the Canadian Tire brand.
