Job consists of parcel delivery and pick-ups within city of Prince Rupert
No experience necessary. All training provided.
Vehicle Provided.
MAIN DUTIES
Operate and drive cargo van to pick up and deliver packages and parcels.
Organize delivery line of travel.
Load and unload cargo.
Scan and sort freight or cargo for delivery.
Communicate with central dispatch using mobile communications equipment.
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
Possess a valid Driver's Licence at all times appropriate to the class of vehicle being driven.
Ability to pick-up and deliver all packages associated to the route area or as required
Complete a criminal record check and security screening.
Must be able to lift 65lbs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Ability to meet and maintain service requirements.
Perform additional pick-ups and deliveries as required.
Accurate completion and daily submission of required documentation.
Build positive relationships with both internal customers (managers, supervisors, employees, and contractors) and external customers.
PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work independently and problem solve.
Ability to work as a Team and assist where required.
Strong customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
Proper parcel handling techniques.
HOURS OF WORK
Monday - Friday position with some Sundays during Peak Christmas Season.
WAGES AND BENEFITS
Minimum $200 per day.
