About the Role
We’re looking for a motivated, personable Kinesiologist who’s excited to grow their career in a supportive, team-based environment.
At Symmetrix, you won’t just supervise exercises—you’ll run your own caseload, develop clinical expertise, and make a meaningful impact in clients’ lives through both studio-based rehab and aquatic therapy.
Whether you’re early in your career or looking for a better-fit clinic, this is an opportunity to learn, grow, and be properly supported (and paid) for your time.
Bonus Structure
The performance bonus kicks in after 18 weekly client-facing hours: $6–$15/hour on top of your base rate. Most clinicians reach that threshold within 3–6 months, supported by a steady referral flow and a front desk team that handles scheduling, billing, and ICBC administration. How quickly you get there depends largely on how confidently you communicate your value to clients during and after their initial assessment — something we actively support through mentorship and onboarding.
Open Positions
1) Cambie Village (New Location)
- Kinesiologist + Aquatic Therapy
- Pool shifts: Tuesday & Friday (Hillcrest or Killarney Pool)
- Studio hours: Flexible evenings and weekends preferred
2) Yaletown
- Kinesiologist (Studio-based) + Aquatic Therapy
- 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM Tuesday- Thursday evenings + Saturday morning 9 AM - 2 PM
- Pool shifts: Tuesdays (Hillcrest Pool)
What You’ll Do
- Conduct 1-on-1 assessments and develop treatment plans
- Deliver rehab, personal training, and aquatic therapy sessions
- Track progress and chart after each session
- Communicate with clients, ICBC adjusters, and healthcare providers
- Help build and manage your caseload
- Participate in team meetings, mentorship, and in-services
What a Typical Week Looks Like
- 6–8 client sessions per day, scheduled in 45 or 60-minute blocks
- You manage your own schedule — front desk supports changes, cancellations, and billing
- Non-session time (roughly 15% of client hours) goes toward programming, health team communication, and follow-ups
- ICBC billing, document submission, and adjuster communication handled by our admin team — you step in only when directly requested
- Minimum 30-minute break required every 5 hours; beyond that, your schedule is largely in your hands
Admin Support
Our front desk team handles ICBC billing, document submission, and most adjuster communication so you can stay focused on your clients. You manage your own schedule and take payments, but if you need to offload booking changes, cancellations, or billing setup, that's what the admin team is there for. The expectation is clinical focus first — not paperwork.
Aquatic Therapy
Aquatic therapy is a core part of what we do.
Experience is a bonus, but not required.
If you’re comfortable in the water and interested in learning, we provide training and support to help you develop this skillset.
What We’re Looking For
You have:
- Degree in Kinesiology (or related field)1+ year experience in rehab and/or personal training
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Current (or eligible) BCAK membership + liability insurance
- Standard First Aid (required for aquatic work)
You are:
- Personable, motivated, and growth-oriented
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Interested in building a long-term career in kinesiology
- Willing to have some schedule flexibility is required early on as your caseload builds (we support you through this ramp-up)
- Willing to engage in client communication and retention
Why Symmetrix?
We’re a well-established kinesiology practice (30+ years) with three locations in Vancouver and Burnaby. Our team works with a wide range of clients, from rehab to performance, and we’re known for delivering exceptional outcomes and a 5-star experience.
Led by Dasha Maslennikova (Canadian Kinesiologist of the Year, 2021, Ministry of Health Award for Clinical Excellence, 2025), our work is grounded in one belief:
Movement is medicine.
We’re committed to helping our team grow just as much as our clients. You’ll have access to:
- Ongoing Kinesiologist-specific mentorship
- Structured learning opportunities
- A collaborative and supportive team culture
Career Growth
At Symmetrix, growth means clinical depth. From day one you have full autonomy over your caseload and the support to develop it. Over time that looks like a more complex client mix, stronger ICBC and aquatic therapy skills, and becoming the kind of clinician clients specifically seek out. If you're looking for a path into management or ownership, this probably isn't the right fit — but if you want to become genuinely excellent at this work, in an environment that invests in that, we'd like to talk.
What Success Looks Like
- Building and managing your own caseload
- Developing strong clinical and communication skills
- Contributing to a positive, high-performing team environment
- Helping clients move better, feel better, and live better
