Job Description
Vins Plastics is looking for Lamination Machine Operator that is responsible for operating a lamination machine at production numbers while ensuring that safety and quality policies and procedures are followed, as well as ensuring production meets the company service, targeted goals, and cost objectives.
Resposibilities
- Measure and test product
- Identify defects in product
- Read and comprehend work order, accurately complete “First Off Check Sheet”, produce product to work order specifications, dimensions, box quantities, pallet configurations, label information, placard information, etc.
- Run speed (rolls/lbs./pks per hour) maintained
- Make labels
- Maintain budgeted scrap levels
- Complete Quality check sheet
- Complete Production sheet accurately
- Understand machine mechanics
- Job setup or changeover on machine with minimal supervision
- Familiar with downstream equipment
- Close work orders (remove job packets, placard for partials, remove materials)
- Identify E-stops and safety sensitive areas
- Assist in Maintenance PM’s
- Housekeeping
- Practice safe behavior with regards to equipment and task
- Other duties as assigned
Your Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- COMEXI Lamination Machine Operation Experience Preferred
- Experience in manufacturing industry (Flexible packaging maintenance experience an asset but not mandatory)
- Basic Mechanical knowledge
- Good organization skills
- Some computer knowledge
- Understanding of Occupational Health & Safety regulations
- Ability to work safely, efficiently, independently and in a team environment
- Hardworking, observant, and punctual
- Attention to detail
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
