Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, including periodontal assessments, scaling, root planing, polishing, and fluoride treatments.
- Educate patients on oral health, home care techniques, and preventive treatment options.
- Accurately record clinical findings and maintain detailed patient records.
- Take and interpret dental radiographs as permitted by regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with dentists and team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Maintain infection prevention and control standards in accordance with current guidelines.
- Support a positive patient experience through professional and compassionate care.
Qualifications
- Current registration and good standing with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario (CDHO).
- Current CPR certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
- Experience with dental practice management software is considered an asset.
