Five Acre Co. rentals is an event rental and production company based in Port Alberni on Vancouver Island. Five Acre Co. is a production services company providing professional audio, lighting, staging, and technical support for concerts, festivals, corporate events, private events, and live productions.
Position Overview
We are looking for an efficient and thorough custodian to join our team. It’s crucial that after each event, our venues maintain a standard level of cleanliness and upkeep. Attention to detail, reliability, and a dedicated attitude are valued attributes. The ideal candidate is proficient in time management and working independently as well as with a team.
Hours will vary depending on season and events hosted, with the custodian working after events occur. Wages are based on experience and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in designated areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, greens rooms, stage areas, and venue areas by restocking supplies and sanitizing surfaces.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and report any issues promptly.
- Ensure proper disposal of waste and recycling materials in accordance with company policies.
- Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks as needed to ensure the upkeep of the premises.
- Follow safety protocols while using cleaning chemicals and equipment to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- WHMIS certification or willingness to obtain
- Successful clearance of a Criminal Record Check
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or facilities maintenance is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards work.
- Must be able to lift moderate weights and perform physical tasks associated with cleaning duties.
