Duties:
- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing on aerial work platforms and construction equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine systems.
- Inspect equipment for operational, safety, and rental readiness standards.
- Perform annual inspections and manufacturer-recommended maintenance procedures.
- Complete pre-rental, post-rental, and damage inspections.
- Repair or replace defective components, including hydraulic cylinders, hoses, electrical components, control systems, engines, and driveline components.
- Test and verify equipment operation following repairs to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and safety requirements.
- Accurately complete work orders, inspection reports, and service documentation.
- Maintain parts usage records and communicate parts requirements to management.
- Keep the shop, service truck, and work areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Assist with field service calls and on-site repairs as required.
- Work efficiently to minimize equipment downtime and maximize fleet availability.
- Follow all EDGE1 safety policies, manufacturer procedures, and industry best practices.
Requirements:
- 2 years plus mechanical experience with aerial equipment
- Aerial or forklift mechanic experience is an asset.
- Understanding of schematics and diagrams
- Own the tools applicable to the position
- Superior customer service
- Efficient problem-solving skills
- Efficient communication skills
- Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
- Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Ability to work independently and alone, managing time and work flow
- Manufacturer certifications from JLG, Genie, Skyjack, MEC, GMG, CAT, or similar equipment manufacturers
- Experience performing annual inspections on aerial equipment
- Mobile service experience
- Familiarity with diagnostic software and telematics systems
