Summary
We are seeking an Associate Warehouse Manager to join our dynamic team in Halifax. This role is crucial for maintaining efficient warehouse operations and ensuring the highest standards of service and quality. This is a role for progression up to full Warehouse Manager given successful accomplishment of tasks required.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations and ensure compliance with safety regulations and keeps the warehouse clean
- Manage the bin allocations through Warehouse Picks, Warehouse Putaways and Warehouse Movements
- Full time working hours availability (Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm)
- Complete daily shipments and receivings through Warehouse Shipments and Warehouse Receipts
- Coordinate inventory management and order fulfillment processes.
- Schedules incoming container appointments for unloading
- Maintains warehouse equipment through proper upkeep
- Utilize Business Central and warehouse management systems for tracking inventory.
- Foster a positive team environment through effective leadership.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse management or supervisory roles.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems.
- Punctual and attentive on a regular basis
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Experience shipping and packaging small parcel items
- Effective communication skills in English
- Experience in process improvement initiatives is preferred.
- Familiarity with supply chain logistics is advantageous
