Position Summary:
AirCon Technologies is currently seeking a local (temporary) Site Safety Advisor to add to our rapidly growing team. Offering competitive wages, a supportive team environment, and a safety culture that is second to none, this growing Company is the place to be.
The Safety Advisor for AirCon Technologies of Fort McMurray Ltd. will provide support to our staff and clients with leading HSE performance.
You will join our team with a demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and focused leadership in HSE accountability, policy, and process.
The base work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day (on-site).
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate site safety meetings
- Maintain hazard assessment, job observation and task hazard assessment programs
- Complete site safety audits, inspections and work observations
- Safety training with personnel
- Participate in incident investigation
- Completing KPI audits
Role Specifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- NCSO, or other designation is an asset, however candidates with the appropriate experience that are working toward a designation will be accepted as well
- Class 5 license
- Successfully complete a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol test
- Provide a clean and current Driver's Abstract
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Must be knowledgeable of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Candidates with safety data management systems an asset
- Candidates with mining experience preferred
- Minimum 3 years field experience in either a Safety role or trade
Ideal Candidate:
- Your working knowledge of related legislation and the ability to accurately interpret the regulations and law is an asset
- You have the ability to work with limited supervision
- You enjoy working in a team environment with great attention to detail
- You have the capacity to problem solve and thrive in high pressure situations
