Heavy Equipment Operator – Forestry & Land Clearing
- Based in the Vars/Ottawa Area, sometimes in Morrisburg
- $30–$35/hour (based on experience)
- Housing available when not working in Vars/Ottawa area

We’re a growing forestry and land clearing company looking for a reliable, hardworking Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in operating equipment, and isn’t afraid of a hard day’s work. While the position will mainly involve operating excavators, you’ll also run tractors, grapples, mulchers, and other heavy machinery as part of our land clearing and forestry operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate excavators for forestry, land clearing, and site preparation projects
- Safely operate tractors, grapples, and other heavy equipment as required
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Work efficiently while maintaining a strong focus on safety
- Assist with other tasks on job sites when needed
- Maintain a professional attitude and strong work ethic
What We’re Looking For
✔ Experience operating heavy equipment (excavator experience preferred)
✔Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting is a plus
✔ Punctual, dependable, and self-motivated
✔ Strong work ethic and positive attitude
✔ Quick learner who is willing to take on new equipment and responsibilities
✔ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
✔ Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
✔ Valid driver’s license needed
